CEO/Founder: Verneice Prince
Meet The Founder:
Verneice Prince's journey is a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative impact of mentorship and community support. Growing up in the foster care system, she faced numerous challenges. She endured trauma and homelessness. However, her faith and determination fueled her desire to not only overcome her circumstances but also to help others do the same.
As the founder and CEO of Cruisin’ Outta Poverty Services (COPS), Verneice is dedicated to uplifting individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness in her community. Her organization offers a range of services, from emergency assistance and transportation to counseling and job training, all aimed at empowering people to improve their lives.
Verneice has always wanted to be a social worker, culminating in a master's degree in social work, further equipped her to advocate for those in need. Verneice is a proud Illinois State University Alumni.
Through her efforts, Verneice not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term growth, demonstrating that with the right support, anyone can overcome their circumstances. Her belief that "homelessness does not equal hopelessness" encapsulates her mission to create a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
